Fairbairn Sykes Fighting knife Sometimes we get lucky and such a find as this authentic knife will make any knowledgeable collector rush to authenticate this item. Olof Janson did a great study of this famous icon, and his works are available free on the web for further study, which was used to attempt to identify this bladed weapon (incorrect sheath) form a myriad of variations made available to our fighting forces in WWII etc. Its markings include a broad arrow é & the letter "T" at the front of the knurled grip, and the word "england" on the crossguard. It is left to the expert enthusiast ot determine more information but the complete 160+ page study by Janson can be emailed to any potential client, since we have it on file. PUMA White Hunter model 6377 Another estate item that goes back some 50 odd years, this knife has a 6" blade and its overall length is 10 5/8 inches. It comes with its original scabbard and its horn handle is in excellent condition. It is marked "Genuine pumamaster steel Germany" on the front left side of the blade, and the scabbard is marked "made in Germany" on the opposite side. The blade has been polished as can be seen, but can be redone back to its original condition and it is very sharp. A wonderful piece of old world quality ready to use or perserve in any knife collection. USED $295. |

Curved, by Ithaca Gun Company Another very high quality 5 1/2" blade knife made by The Track Knife Co., which became affiliated with the Ithaca Gun Co. in the early 70's, it features exotic laminated finger-groove grip and a curved full length blade also cut out for the index finger. The handguard is pure silver, polished to match the balance of this great 10 1/2" overall length knife. Its scabbard is marked with the "Track" logo and is in excellent condition, as is the knife itself. A variety of these knives were available at the time, and finding another one in this condition will make a great addition to your knife collection or for field use. USED $275. |
