| Roth Steyr
1907 In the early part of the 20th century there were numerous designs for top loading handguns, but few were so simple to operate as this model whose trigger works in a very similar way to the current Glock, and whose 5" rotating barrel is still in use today. A pull of the trigger finalizes the cocking and release of the firing pin, which was considered a great engineering improvement at the time. Made from 1907 through WWI by both Steyr, Austria, and by the Budapest Hungary facilities, this particular handgun was manufactured in 1913 by Waffenfabrik Steyr in caliber 8mm Roth Steyr. A remarkable trip into the past, the study of its history will intrigue its owner, as will the study of similar designs of the pre-war period. Its simplicity of takedown and maintenance made this a unique handgun in its time. It is totally matching in & out.
